The World Health Organization has called for more midwives and health workers to help alleviate this devastation. The Global Childbirth Educator Network has responded to this call and is offering seminars that have been designed to equip women to become effective childbirth educators in developing nations.

Childbirth Educator and Doula Training Seminar!
Participants will learn about prenatal nutrition, labor and birth techniques, postpartum and newborn care, breastfeeding and more. The Childbirth Educator and Doula Training Seminar participants will also learn how to teach these topics to the women in the area of the world they are serving. They will also be trained to be "doulas", a labor coach who provides physical and emotional support during labor. These skills would also be beneficial to those that live in developed nations, both for ministry and also as a job.
Come be equipped to make a difference in the community you are serving, whether it’s in a developed or undeveloped nation. You will be trained to teach pregnant women and also learn to be a doula (labor coach).
The majority of these maternal deaths can be prevented through education about:
· Prenatal nutrition and health
· The process of labor and birth
· Postpartum care of the mother
· Newborn care
· Breastfeeding
Learn WHAT to teach and HOW to teach pregnant women in a classroom setting or one-on- one. Learn labor comfort techniques and how to provide physical and emotional support to the laboring woman. No previous birth or medical experience required. This seminar fulfills the classroom requirements to certify with the Global Childbirth Education Network and the new professional certification program of University of the Nations.
